Undertaker is 'booked' for hotel horror!

Undertaker Books has "made a reservation" with author Charlotte Platt for her new novella of hotel horror, Treasured Guest, which will be published in March of 2025.

With elements of The Shining, Treasured Guest tells the story of combat veteran Stephanie, who is stuck in rainy Glasgow on a work assignment. Stephanie is bored, misses her girlfriend Jenny, and can't wait to get home--but The Basker, the quirky old hotel she's staying in, has other plans for her...

Charlotte Platt is a dark fantasy and horror writer based in the very far north of Scotland. She earned her Masters in Creative Writing through the Open University, and has had around fifty short stories placed across various anthologies, podcasts, and collections. Her most recent novel, One Smile More, will be released in June 2024 through Grendel Press. When she isn’t out beside the river looking for herons, she can be found walking her parents' rescue dog, Joe, or tending to her garden--both of which feature heavily on her socials. Outside of writing, she likes live shows, comedy, and music, as well as researching deep dives for her next novel.
